When's the best time to harvest Wicklow pine needles? I walk the dogs every day in pine woods...

Spring actually from now on you don't need an awful lot if their fresh and added at flameout as they can be very potent and tar like in big quantities, need to leave it at least 6-8 weeks to condition and balance out too.

The woods next to me have spruce with greenest really vibrant tips and I'm nearly sure like these guys they are Sitka spruce.

Good stuff CH, I'll keep an eye out. Is it mainly Sikta grown in the Coillte forests I wonder...?

I had a chat with Cara in Lamberts and he was saying they used a kilo in a full batch, his tip was to bring secateurs and only use the tips
