Spotted this online. Prize is very good and it's open to anyone in the UK or Europe.

That's a big prize! Given their popularity I'd imagine there will be a lot of entries. I'd guess the winning beer will be something a little left-field as well, rather than just a hoppy IPA.

Might enter for the craic anyway.

True but I imagine it'll only make it to the larger Tesco stores that have a big craft offering anyway.

Nothing sour or funky anyway I'd imagine. Some kind of specialty IPA maybe? It would need some sort of a twist to stand out though, like adding some bizarre sort of fruit to secondary or something similar.

Yeah, speciality IPA or fruit/spice beer was my thinking.

He is up to his oxters building a brewpub brewery that he just got planning permission for and also on a recruitment drive to build a "super brew"club to clean up at next years nationals
