Portable Cornie Keg Dispensing

I have a couple of small cornie kegs (7 and 9 litre) and thinking about using them for a picnic type situation. Has anyone any experience or recommendations on dispensing directly from these?  They are small enough to fit in a regular fridge to be chilled, I already have one of these

But find that the beer pulls too high as in lots of foam. There is no way to throttle back the flow rate. (The keg wasn't over carbonated as I later dispensed it through a beer engine)
Gas wise I could take my regulator and a small co2 bottle or has anyone used the CO2 chargers successfully?

I guess one solution would be to attach a barb to the tap and hook up a fairly long beer line (maybe 5-8 feet) for resistance.
Every little helps

Maybe make one of these out of a spare cooler or wheelie bin?

If you're serving from a normal tap/picnic tap with a short line, you'll probably need to vent the keg first to serve, then repressurise afterwards.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

I put 5' of 3/16" line on my cheapo picnic tap and it balanced it nicely.

That's pretty much the set up I use on my kegerator taps. Works well

OK thanks lads I'll try the tap again venting the keg first, and if necessary put a jumper between the cornie disconnect and the tap to lower the pressure. I have a box or so of the co2 bulbs from another project years ago, has anyone had success with the co2 chargers using non threaded co2 bulbs ? There seems to be rumblings of them not sealing properly and losing gas?

I bought a 100ft of vinyl tubing for portable dispensing, I was never happy with the plastic taps. I won't be worried too much about flavour leeching as it will only be for immediate use and not with beer in the lines for  long periods of time, and then I'll attach one of my old flow control taps.

What do you call that CO2 bulb/arrangement thats with it for dispensing?

Leann ull

Cold keg and 3-5 Psi just enough to push out.
I do it all the time for parties, kegs outside in winter in ice batch in summer.

It's not as fancy as you think. Just CH and Pod up Brey head with 2 corneys of cider.

We normally only make it to the car park as climbing the head is far too much effort
