Hey lads,
Haven't brewed in ages and feels like I've forgotten everything I have picked up and I'm gonna jump back in the deep end so to speak. I have 3 coopers kits, a wheat, a Canadian and and ipa and have 3 muntons DME extra light. My question is, do I need to use brewing sugar with each kit and the DME and if so then how much roughly? Any help this idiot would greatly appreciate it  :)

Your in good company we are all idiots around here.
Dme is for malt profile and abv
Sugar is just for abv and your beer will taste thinner.
Have a good look at what LE posted in the Wiki section, I'm sure that will give you a more comprehensive answer.

I wouldn't bother with any extra sugar, just use the kit can + LME can.

Here's a few things that'll turn them from ok beers to good beers:
1 - brewing to 20 liters
2 - change the wheat beer yeast to wb06 if you're looking for a hefeweisen. Ferment at around 18C for clove 23C+ for banana. The yeast in this kit is similar to us05 and makes a fairly bland wheat ale.
3 - dry hop the IPA. cascade or something similar works well.
4 - steep around 250g carapils or crystal for each to freshen them up and give better head retention.
5 - use plenty of sanitizer. if you don't have sanitizer use 3ml distilled vinegar, 3ml thin bleach, 2l water. never mix bleach and vinegar neat.
