 I drive for a living and use a personal one. 

It has saved me from disciplinary proceeding twice . Accidents that looked like my fault with pics, but with video evidence ,  it clearly shows some nutter sticking it up the inside on me and crashing. 

I use the G1w after watching lots of this guys vids  Techman..  One of his vids below. 

Its been in use for over 2 years now,  Still full HD and going strong.  Its taken down and put in a bag every working day..

I had one of those too, they're a great piece of kit for cycling in  the city centre. I try to blast it short from a distance and only make people jump when it's getting dangerous, been fucked out of it once or twice, but then you have stories like this...

While cycling, a car pulled out of a filling station on me years ago, I went over the bonnet.
Having ridden Motorcycles where things happen a lot quicker...
Assume everyone on the road is either an idiot or wants to kill you.
Stopped in traffic one day (motorcycle) a lady reversed, knocked me sideways and went to drive off.
