So I bought a salifert water test kit....what now??

As the title says, I bought a test kit. How do I plug the values into software like beersmith so that I can use them?

I've not used that test kit, but in terms of plugging water parameters into software so you can make adjustments, I use the auld Bru'n water spreadsheet - there's a walk through here and loads of other videos on it:

There's another one called EZ water which seems grand as well. Never used beersmith for water stuff, so can't help there.

***Edit - this only really applies when you have the values for your water. It's handy but doesn't really answer your question.

That's the way you do it on Beersmith alright  . and if your water is RO then your base profile is zero's for all the salts.

So I did a quick test of my tap water this morning just so I could get some results to use.

Kh value 13.7
Alkalinity 4.9
Ph 7.6

That homebrewforum link looks good. I'll have a proper read of it later.
