ABV : 6.04%abv.

IBU : 77.0 ibu.

Bottled 11/04/2017 @21.00hrs,120gr/20lts Dark Brown Sugar,37 x 500ml = 18.5lts.

Lost 4.5lts due to dry hopping and trub.

Why have you put them in aldi water bottles?

Why not?

1. Beer needs to be stored away from light, it reacts with the hop oils & causes 'lightstrike/skunking', that's why brown glass is generally used.

2. A still water bottle won't necessarily hold any pressure, it's not designed to, so your beer may/will go flat as you try to carbonate it.

They are fizzy water bottles so perfectly fine to hold carbonation.Already sanitiszed so empty water and fill with beer.I used them because i needed bottles in a hurry,also because they are a hell of a lot cheaper then buying from HBS,and i can get them same day if i need to.The main reason is longterm i am going away from plastic and back to glass but i am not there yet and i don't see the point in  buying loads of coopers bottles at two or three times the cost.

The light strike would be an issue with these so they are being stored in complete darkness while carbonating,once carbed up i will pull out what i need and chill in fridge for a couple days.However to be realistic these will be long gone by the time any skunking could take place.

Why not?

Water bottles can degrade over time and leach into the contents particularly when re-used.  They would also be vulnerable to breakdown by light.
