I'm a big fan of Greys Anatomy and bringing things back to life.
Damn housekeeping today for the new year found a vial of 8 months over at the bottom of my fridge, gone into a starter tonight for an American lager in 2/3 days if it ever takes off. :)
Can anybody beat 8 months for resurrecting liquid yeast :o?

White Labs actually suggest on their website that Yeast is Viable between 6 and 12 months after!, and as a general rule one day in the starter per month over the BB date.
Mine won't be a week in the starter! :(

Well holy god as we say in Wicklow my American lager Yeast came back to life and little yeasty clumps appeared in the last 48, its a miracle!!, so white labs were right with their 1 day for 1 month over BB.

Too bad an iPA went in my frimentor yesterday and this starter is going down the sink :o

Nooooooo!!!, Never bin a yeast that has revitalised its manhood thanks to your carefull massaging!!

Just let it grow into a fully fledged strain and then pop it into a vial and bank it!

(If I have not given enough hints/clues to the punners here then I give up)
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Listening to you two you'd think I was putting puppies in a sack to throw in the river.
Ok have out in in the shed to finish off and will put in a sterilised jar for next week-end
Talk about wusses ::)
