Going to be in Copenhagen for a weekend in May 2019, of course beer is top of the agenda, but does anyone have a hotel recommendation before I delve into the wonderful world of Tripadvisor reviews.

Thanks

Ciaran

Stayed here and it was decent.  Don't think we went for any of the hotel breakfast/dinners so can't comment on those.

By sheer coincidence, it was also where richard ayoade stayed for the travel man episode

Great city, my feeling was it was best explored on a bike.  Wish we'd got on bikes from day one,  we used the buses and taxis for the first 3 days but getting on a bike was a much better way to get around.

Cheers...and by sheer coincidence, I downloaded that Travel Man episode and watched it last night. I think we'll book in here.

Fully intend to hop on a bike at some stage to see the city, looks like they are more setup for it than here, where it's more a take your life in your hands venture.

We stayed in Steel House Hostel last year and have booked again for this year. Really modern hostel and very central.

I stayed in the same hotel as Travel Man (cant think of the name of it now). It was fine, the location was pretty good. I think you may be able to get something similar for less money.

Here is a link to a blog I wrote after my visit https://friendosbeerblog.wordpress.com

Brus seems to be a major addition to Copenhagen's beer scene, since my visit.
