Any idea what would cause a usually pretty solid session IPA recipe to come up this cloudy.

I had a stuck sparge but other than that a pretty run of the mill brewday and fermentation. I fined with gelatin and it has been in the fridge at 1 degree for a week. This has been the 6th full glass I pulled from the keg.

Oh and there is a torch shining through the glass

It's not that short a list alas.

Too much protein, poor yeast flocolation, water chemistry, polyphenols from hop yeast interaction are the immediate ones that spring to mind.

Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Rookie mistake Brian, the trick is to call it an NEIPA and tell everyone that's what it's supposed to look like!

I usually go with "Unfiltered" or "East Coast"

How old is it? Will clarify and drop clear after a 2 weeks.

Brewed 26th May, kegged 19th June. No sign of it clearing at all.

Did you dry hop before or after the gelatin? I find dry hopping can add alot of Haze.
Also how many pints have you pulled poured at this point? You might still be pulling through the precipitate

brian_c

Dry hopped before. And I've pulled through about 2litres.

Gently tilt the keg and use a gas disconnect to draw of a sample from the top of the keg!
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Great idea, will try that this evening.
