are we enterin this summer beer "club off' or what?

the northsiders and capitals are debatin this already.

If yis want a brewday Ill volunteer to host a multiple brew off at my place...we can have an overnight and a camping, bbq, music and so on We have parking, camping, marquee, real food and real beer and a mass brew day can be done in the shelter of the marquee. Yis can share cars and so on...its only down the road.  Any comments welcome....love to see at least one serious get together before year is out and summer is here :)

I can supply at least 4x  3 kw supplies for boilers if we want to do a mash off day and get some individual or club effort.

Very important we get in to this battle :D  and WIN ;D  .

Great idea and very generous offer Brendan. I'm on (date permiting).

great to see one interest.... spread the word...we all the facilities...all our own gear, marquee, camping outside Seperate from the house not actually outdoors) toilets and showers, could be a great venue.  loads of space for tents / camper vans  and so on, water, mains hook up and so on.

My idea is a little minii festival of sorts we can get some music / musicians goin later and enjoy bbq, camp fire and chilled out meet up....Thats after all the brewin is done!

I'm always up for it.  Depends on the day. That's what I'm doing with regards to getting people together to enjoy a brew day, good beer and get together

Ye ive had a dozen brew days, all went well.
It'd be great to see regular brew days but many people work weekends and so on and have various familial committmets as well as the fact that some people just dont have a suitable house that could accomodate such an event. Im lucky here in Kildare that we do. So I think I'm one of the the busiest brewers in the club as I brew a mash every week up to three a week ;)

There is a little bit of a shortage of brew days (rather than meet ups in the pubs) to do tasting which is more popular, I think the less experienced and those wishing to move up their skills would really benefit from seeing it in action in a chilled out meeting.

I see the brew day as a sort of a bbq where people hang around chatting and a bit of cooking going on in the corner ;D Those who are most excitable hang around the brewer / host and ask loads of questions and I generally then thrive on his / her enthusiasm.
