Just racked off a litre of the barrel stout for tomorrow night, and tastes very good in my opinion. Very smooth for 10%. Will be interested to see what others think. Nice little whisky flavour, and nice bit of roast. No real vanilla from the wood, like the first jameson cask, probably because this beer is much stronger. Can't wait for others to try it.

Nice one.  Dying to see what it's like. Whether it's good or bad I think the spirit it was made in (and i'm not talking about the whiskey) will round off any off flavors! Bonus if the stuff tastes good.
drinking - Brown porters (plain/oak aged/vanilla)
conditioning - American Amber (Jamil's evil twin)
Fermenting - air

It's definitely not bad anyway!

Wow! Where did that crowd come from?!!
Super night, great craic as always.
There's some great beers being made, kit beers that don't taste like kit.
The highlight for me was Daras Pale, I want the recipe!
I think we did damage to Blacks pale at the bar too, a lovely sup.

Are ye hoping to arrange another meeting in November? Unfortunately I missed this meeting as I didn't get notifications of the post. I must try and fix that so that I don't miss any more updates etc.

Not sure yet, still getting over this one!
Lets kick off a new thread...
