nitrogen tank vs co2 tank

So got a co2 regulator

problem is when I bought gas, they sold me a mix of gas in a nitrogen tank

so reg wont fit the tank.  the tank guy said he could change the threaded connection on the reg to fit the nitro tank

that sounds dodge- any thoughts?

can they just give me a mixture of gasin a co2 tank instead? swap tanks with them?

The exact same thing happened to me! I got them to swap it for a tank of CO2.
