Ok thats sounds good! So i guess we are in suspense till the announcements are made at the end :)

theres confusion over that tho...other posts were suggesting its based on medal.

I presume its in the BJCP book how all this works?

Well done lads!

Happy out with my 2 medals and hopeful that my last remaining entry for Cork will do me proud too.

3 week wait is murder!

I'd say I'll have a couple of beers that will be ready then. Like the informal setup and the samples for those that attend.

Sorry Bren but there is a new Twist to the old Pepper comp:

You are now expected to SWIM up the Liffey wearing ANY medals won in the last 5 years!

Its a form of handicap I believe!

As I congratulated you on Staurday: "Stay away from canals and rivers"
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Just to show that we can brew any beer well  ;D... I'm sticking a parti gyle american IPA / Imperrial ipa on friday. Seems as everyone seems to brew IPA's and I never have entered one. I know its a category that has a lot of entries so ill chance my arm there. Re lagers we at south Kildare invested heavily in a new brewhouse, lager ferment and lagering facility, a grand just for the electric hook up and courses, books and seminars and so on has moved us up a gear. Also an average of two brews per week and a lot of research into yeasts and water chemistry especially the pros and cons of soft water which paid off in the comps. So we are confident that our 5 medals in the lagers are very well earned and deserved O0

pepper is a small comp, I / we wont be greedy.. we will enter 3... a lager, an ale and an IPA or Imperial IPA..  or somethin like that. We arnt in it for the winning we r in it for the social and the enjoyment and most that know us would agree...the medals are secondary.

Weve another shout in Cork, roll on Cork comp :) and the BOS if we r in it!
