So on saturday I finally got around to putting on another batch of beer!   ;D

1 can brewferm tarwebier & packet yeast
1 can coopers liquid wheat malt extract
309g white sugar

The can of tarwebier is good for 15 liters and an original gravity of 1.052 resulting in a final abv of 5.0% according to the instructions. It recommends to add 750g of sugar when making this kit.

I added 1 can of coopers liquid wheat malt extract and 309g of sugar and topped it up to 4 gallons ~ 18.18 liters and measured the original gravity to be 1.054.

I don't have any pictures at the moment but will take some when I rack it off into a secondary fermenter. I have a brewbelt on the primary fermenter as the temperature where I have it is below 16 C. Depending on how it turns out I might also experiment with dry hopping.

If it manages to ferment down to the target final gravity of 1.010 like it mentions on the instructions the abv of the brew should come in around 5.78%

I made some Tarwebier today.  My first return to homebrewing after over 20 years.  I would have never used a secondary fermenter before but bottled it after the primary fermentation had stopped.  In previous times I would have added sugar to the bottles, but it's hard to be exact and this time I want to follow the instructions as near as I can, so I am going to mix the sugar in another carboy and bottle from there.
I'm just wondering what you did, and how did it turn out?

Its on secondary at the moment. I am going to see if its possible to use dry malt extract instead of sugar for bulk priming. Think I read some place that can improve head retention. Its darker in color than i was expecting and tastes good. I will probably bottle it during the week or next weekend
