Well, i was going to do a Double IPA today, and was wondering how i could fit all the 8.5 grain into my brew bag. Then the light bulb moment. How did i not think of this before???

That's pretty much what I do, but with a baking grill raised above it, to keep the muslin off the braided hose. Works for me (touch wood). AIPA on the go now, if the gas doesn't run out.

How'd it go? Entering it into the galway comp in Oct?

I've just pitched my American IPA with Vermont Ale yeast (Conan). So many problems with my brew day, but the muslin at the bottom of the mash tun wasn't!

just cooling now...pre-boil gravity of 1.083 . 300g of hops. Rough Knight is going to be one big beer!! .Yeah its for the comp...ive never brewed such a big beer before can wait to taste it. im going to need to get more hops for the Dry hop. I alway use US-05...whats that conan live hear good things about it

1060, 200g for me. The Conan is supposed to be amazing, and a bit of an arse. Apparently needs to be kept warm. Trying my new Hot Beer Fridge^TM out for the first time to make sure it attenuates properly. This is my first go at it though, as I wasn't in the group buy.

I got annoyed with US05 giving it's own little tang. I love the handiness of dry yeast though. I've a little collection growing, but got this wet yeast to use up first. Got WLP500 to put to use as well as a repitch of this Conan.

How are you dry hopping yours? Secondary in muslin or something?

finished up at 1.090. i going to dry hop twice day(9-14)and (20-25) the guy who made pliny said thats the way to go so im going to go with 100g for each step. I used muslin and 5 spoons.you going to dry hop yours

Might try a hop tea if I can get the smell of coffee out of the press. How's the dry hopping going?

Have'nt started yet its not quite finished.....i intend trying it first and then see what to do. I left some post boil in the trial jar and it was fermenting away mid week and smelled spot on just hope the IBU are through the roof. How your brew looking
