just bottled up, few questions

Just bottled up a pa kit and was wondering
1. Best place to store , garden shed or warmer spare room?
2. Do you top bottles up a bit to compensate for the little bottlers volume?
3. I added dextrose to batch carbonate, but due to my inquisitive  20 months old girl didn't get to bottle for 12 hrs after adding the sugar. Will I have lost some of the effect of the sugar, as it was bubbling a little this morning?

1. Warm place (kitchen?) for few days to wake up the yeast then move to somewhere colder. Low temp helps clearing the brew.
2. Better leave at least 2"-2.5" from top empty
3. No need to worry. At least you now the re-fermentation kicked in.

The space left by the bottling stick should be perfect.

1. You need to leave the bottles at +19°C for 2 weeks to let the yeast eat the priming sugar and carbonate the beer. Any colder and the yeast will remain dormant. After the 2 weeks, do what you like with them. I just leave mine in the shed and put them in the fridge a few hours before drinking.

2. You need air space at the top of the bottle. This oxygen is used up by the yeast when carbonating. As Qs said, the head space left by the bottling stick is spot on.

3. Kids + brewing =  >:D  >:(  :( You did the right thing getting her away from the beer. It's going to be fine.
