Hello All,

Finally in a position to get this hobby going again, as I have a base now! Dublin Northside.
Haven't done any brewing really, bar a bit of messing about when I was younger.
So loads of learning to do... ;)

Welcome to the forums. There's a few meets in your area as well, depending on where in the north side you are. :)
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead

Thanks very much Molc.

I'm based in Glasnevin.

Hi GBI:

The North County brewers are meeting on the 9th at the "44" in Swords. You are more than welcome

See:

http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.com/forum/index.php/board,23.0.html

Now, a few of the lads who come out to Swords are trying to set up a North City Group but no firm location yet. Biggest problem is to find a suitable pub with good craft beer/good public transport/and tolerate home brewers!

It is mainly going to be wine bsed this month but sure a few beers may make it in.

You don't need to bring anything with you just turn up and talk and talk and talk ... you get the mgist!

maybe the back page in phibsboro would be a good location?

Lack of organisation more than anything has stopped a venue being found, as there's quite a few of us in Raheny that could meet now. Someone just needs to pick a night and a place for a regular meet so we could sort a venue.

Hi Glasbrew, I'm in Glasnevin myself, and I think DCBrewing is too. PM me exactly where you are and we can arrange a meet. As well as North County and the Raheny group, Capital Brewers meet in rotating pubs (particularly by the end of the night) around the City centre.

i think there was another glasnevin member around too. should we try a bring your brew meet or just a general meet up?

Will_D

A lot depends on the location. If they have heard of Beoir/NHC/Homebrewing then just ask!

However if they are a bit uncertain as to who we are, suggest first meet is just a meet/chat and a few scoops. If you can talk with the owner / manager a bit later into the night or even the next week and then ask about the normal BYO HB type meet.

Advice for first meet:

Buy lots of theirs/only 1 brew per peson/tidy up after you

Hi again all,

Thanks for the welcome.

Will_D,
I'll do my best to make next Tuesday but in reality I may not be able to make it.
I'll confirm before hand and let you know.
It must be near eight years since I drank in the Hawthorn. I think 44 is what it is called now...

DCBrewing,
I've heard good reports of the back page, again I've not been in it since it was the red windmill many moons ago.

Starting to feel old now :(

Dunkel,
PM sending.

Seems like there is a good number close by to me.
Better get my skates on brewing

well BPBP are launching their new beer tomorrow night in the back page at 8pm if anyone wants to meet for a few? I could ask about arranging a brew meet up then.

Anyone for the back page up for it sign up here: http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,8403.0.html
