Tomorrow's recipe. 20 litre batch. No Irish moss in the house so decided to brew a stout. Need to grab some before next batch. Any comments?

4.00 kg Minch Irish Pale Malt 72.7 %
0.50 kg Flaked Oats 9.1 %
0.25 kg Black Malt 4.5 %
0.25 kg Carapils 4.5 %
0.25 kg Crystal Malt 120 EBC 4.5 %
0.25 kg Chocolate Malt 4.5 %
25.00 g Northern Brewer 60mins
25.00 g East Kent Goldings 15mins

I brewed a similar stout to that recipe recently, the only difference really being roasted barley instead of black malt and american hops though more for bittering than aroma. In fact im drinking it right now!  :) I'd love to know if there's much difference between the black malt and roasted barley. Mines tastes of heavy roast and mild liqourice and the crystal doesnt really punch through so its quite sharp but definitely rounded by the oats.

Looks great! Happy brewday!
