OT: Water carbonation

Sorry for the OT post, at my wits end trying to figure this out and the brewing community seems like the best place to get answers -- I read a while back on Reddit that carbonating your own water at home is fairly simple with a carbonation cap and an CO2 canister, but I'm not sure how to go about buying and refilling the CO2 in Cork?

I realise I can just buy it from Lidl, or a Sodastream, but sure you can do the same with beer. I just want to scope it out and see how much it would cost me, see if it's viable.
