The citra plays lovely with the bit of roast that comes through from the late mash addition of the carafa.

Best call in and check it out! I love a black IPA
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Interested in this one but i use the BIAB method. Any suggestions on how i would add the late addition of Carafa using BIAB?

molc

Throw it in the last 10 minutes and give it a wee stir before you pull it out should get you in the same region

Why are you adding it late? It's debittered, surely there's no point?

nigel_c

Doesn't add anything to the mash except color so doesn't need to be in for the whole thing.

I had a lovely Cloudwater black IPA on nitro in Brew Dock last week. Nitro really suits the style.
