Hi all,

Mac here currently based in Galway. Started homebrewing last October and I've done about 7 kits and 2 extract brews. I'm offically hooked and having paid up membership I thought I better actually say thanks for all the advise I've already got off the site!

Welcome! Don't be shy and ask plenty of questions! The Galway lads seem to meet up on a monthly basis so check out that forum, it's always good to meet people in the real world and have a chat about homebrewing!

Are you happy with the step up to extract brewing? What sort of styles have you brewed?

Any hacking of those kits?

Yeah I saw the Galway brewers tread alright so looking forward meeting up with them although I'm not around the last Friday of the month for the next couple of months so it'll be awhile before I do.

Very happy so far with the step up to extract brewing but in saying that I haven't crack the first bottle yet so that could change! I've a Stout and a Munich Helles done with a Hoegarrden Clone going on this weekend all going well. Dry hopped a couple of the kits with recommendations I got from some freindly folk on Boards.ie
