I'm enjoying this one at the moment.

O.G. 1.045
F.G. 1.012

Batch size: 20L

Grain bill:
Lager malt 2675g (67%)
Pale malt 925g (23%)
crystal malt 400g (10%)
(I would normally have just used pale malt, but the lager malt needed using. I don't know if it made any difference).

Mash profile: single infusion mash at 67'C for one hour. 1 teaspoon (5ml) CaCl in mash and 1 teaspoon CaSO4 in boil. (My water is soft-ish between 100-200mg/L CaCO3, but probably more like at the 100 end. No oily scum on cups of tea, for example. Little or no residue in the kettle. etc.)
water to grain ratio of 3:1 i.e 12 L strike water at 74'C
17L sparge water at 78'C

Hops
First wort hopped with 15.34g Fuggles (leaf) @ 5%alpha ca.(13.4 BUs) and 10.12g Progress (leaf) @ 7.9%alpha (13 BUs)
2 min addition Bramling Cross (leaf) 20.1g, 7% alpha 10.6BUs, and East Kent Goldings (leaf) 25.05g 5%alpha 9.4 BUs
Total BUs 46.4 (calculated -I have no idea what my effective utilisation rate is. I assumed 35% utilisation for the FWH addition and 15% for the 2 min addition)

Yeast: recycled Safale S 04

Bottle conditioned. primed with 3g/l table sugar.

Crystal is dark, i.e. around 145?

I think so. It's not marked on the bag, but it produces quite a dark beer.
