Allegedly when the Roma legions marched on Wales the Kings ordered all the Welsh women to meet the Romans in their national dress.

The Romans took one look and Fe***d off back to England

This selfless act by the Welsh saved our fellow Irish Celts a roman invasion!

Of course if it wasn't for the Welsh the Irish would have got Central Heating, Water Supplly, Wine, Olives, Toilets, Education and the  rest of "What did the Romans do for us stuff"

We were always taught here in Ireland that when the Romans encountered the crap weather in Wales and Scotland along with unbelievably hostile locals that they were instantly convinced that there was no point in going any further as any place further on was guaranteed to be as bad if not worse
