What about a members only "off topic" sub-forum for contentious non beer related stuff?

A lot of internet forums have something like this.

Why members only? Almost every forum has their off-topic stuff in the open, it's the general discussions area.

@Eoin: I don't mind - it's just how I've seen it done elsewhere.

@iTube: again I don't mind, where I was coming from is that general discussion seems to include a lot of non-contentious stuff, some boards have a "Bear pit" type sub-forum for the contentious stuff as well as a general chit chat forum, to stop the general discussion area turning into a bear pit.

Anything goes pretty much covers it, I'd say as long as it's not attacking someone personally on here it's pretty much fair game.

It's easy to avoid general discussion and stay on the brewing stuff, I do it on other forums.
