Fermentation fridge struggling in the heat..

I have a hotpoint larder fridge that can usually achieve 0-3deg C no problem. I had a beer in primary this week and it struggled to keep it at 20degC, now in secondary it can achieve 18. I disconnected the stc and plugged straight in the wall but it just seems to be its limit. Is it the current good weather thats causing the change or has something else changed. Fridge making all the right hums and sounds and its own thermostat doesn't seem to be knocking it off prematurely. Cooling mesh at the back isn't very warm compared to my other fridge which is hot to the touch.
Any ideas?

Try and feel how hot the compressor is, if it's too hot to touch it's usually a sign that the fridge is a write off. The compressor can get extremely hot if not working correctly so be careful.
