I'm thinking of wrapping some form of insulation around my brew pot during the boil to make the heating more efficient. I was think of something like a yoga mat. Has anyone else find this? Or will my yoga mat more likely melt!!

I use something like this http://www.bubblefoilinsulation.ie/ held on by aluminium tape for over two years now on my hlt and boil kettle with no problem. It's easy to cut to size and it can be wiped clean & dry.

Looks good, that'll work even better.

it's a little pricey but you can also use it for insulating ur shed, radiator etc.

Occasionally Lidl or Aldi do a roll of it for ~€10 or so.

You could also use the yoga mat around the bubble foil for extra insulation if your using your boiler for your mash with BIAB.
