Hi all.

Looking for IPA kit recommendations for the brother, as he has just started getting into brewing. Will be purchasing from the homebrew company, as his wife want's to get him a present, and they have an entity in the UK. She want's to put in the order soon, so don't have time to go through the reviews, to figure out the best one. If kit brewers could indicate their top 3 IPA's, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Billy.

Cheers Gar. That one seems to be out of stock on the UK site, but available on Irish one, which seems strange, as thought it was all coming out of the same stock. Second link seems to be the same as the first?

Taf, I don't think that last one is available on the UK site either  >:(

Try this:

Or else just go with a Coopers IPA and dry-hop the bollocks out of it  :P

How about the craft range ipa?
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Hands down, Coopers Australian Pale Ale, with a small steep of light to medium crystal to freshen the grain flavour up a bit. And a Cascade hop tea and dry hop. i've introduced a couple of first time brewers to this combo, and they've all been very happy with the results.

The yeast that comes with this kit is a combi lager and ale yeast, so you get a lovely dry beer, complements the hops well. There are times I wish Coopers sold this yeast separately so I could use it in an AG brew!

ive made the bulldog evil dog DIPA ..its only fair even with a 75g dry hop that it comes with its like an imperial lager its so clean.
ive made the american pale ale version and its good and hoppy presume the IPA would be better again..i'd chance that. I can drp you in a sampler if it tuesday if you wnat
I think the HBco might bend the rules on the .co.uk / .ie as its all the same stock i think maybe pop them a mail and explain.
The coopers ipa with a good dose of dry hop is nice but if a present its nicer to have all in 1 box with instructions to save on 45 min phone calls.

Ended up going with a couple of coopers australian pale ales, and light spray malt, plus plenty of hops to hack it with. Also got some carafa 3 for him to do a black ipa.

Cheers Brian. Off for the next week, but will definitely catch up after that though.
