About that alright -

The two Imperial Stouts were excellent, great debut molc !
The Dunkel and Brown were very tasty as well, the Weiss was flawless and well balanced
but the Barley Wine probably stole the show.

All in all a great selection of beers - the standard is really going up, the average beer is very good.

Great stuff.

Well what a great night – yet again.
Its always great to see new faces.
We kicked off the meeting at about 8 and covered the following:

1.  Next group buy:
It was agreed that this would run on the Forum as a wish list and we will wait and see if someone steps up to organise and coordinate the buy. If you want less than a wwhole bag say so and someone will probably take the other half or even quarter bag. Its up to you to arrange the split up. Also We can order hops at the same time. With regard to the hops we try to limit the GB to the more popular varieties. Bear in mind that they come in 5 kg bales!

2.  Quadraphenia Status:
Sitting quietly in Colmac's garage. He will make sure we get a sample for the next meeting.

3.   Next Meeting and Christmas party:
It was suggested that we have our regular Monthly meet on the 2nd of December so we can hold the party on the 12th. I will put up a poll for this and attendance. Remember partners are particularly invited.
I will have to meet with 44 to check the dates as well – Oh the hardship!

4.   HBW Kit Beer design.
We talked briefly about this. Nigel (aka. "Nigel the Recipe") will start a thread with suggestions

The tasting got underway at about 8:30.
We had a great selection of beers from the benign to the ridiculously strong. Again a very high standard of beers.

Talking of which it will be soon time to start brewing for the nationals!

Our kitty is now at about €211

Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing
