Cheers lads. The wiring in the shed is sound, it is baltic out there at the mo so might just leave it be inside if it's safe enough. God knows how this brew is going to turn out - the temp has been up and down like a yoyo before I got the belt yesterday!  :'(

Yerra, it'll be grand...  ;)

Consider sheets of Aeroboard/Kingspan to fashion a Fermentation chamber for yourself.

Hmmm.... yeah I was thinking of something like that alright. In the system where you have your STC controlling a fridge and a heat belt could you get away with basically an insulated box instead of a fridge? If you're not making lager do you really ever need to cool the ferment? Does it get that hot?

Pretty much yes.(As in using aeroboard box)
Think about this...
Middle of winter in your freezing shed, just after pitching and your brew is a bit warm: use the cool side to open a vent to let cold air in!

Thanks LordEoin. Yeast is Safale 05.
The lcd thermometer is telling me that it's at 23 degrees
It really is going like the clappers!

Wow thats high. How cold is your house? I usually ferment US-05 pretty cool, 16-18C. Makes a for a very clean fermentation.
