Kölsch

I am living in the area of Louisburgh just beide the Reek knowing the area since 1967.
After retiring 2003 in Germany I am living for good in Ireland

I started brewing beer 2 years ago and followed the advice of my son. He taught me to brew.

There is a great community of private brewers in Germany and as I came to know it is the same in Ireland. In my area are good number of new breweries e.g. Mescan and West Mayo Brewery.
The first ingridients I bought in Germany now  starting to buy in Ireland.

I am delighted to find the nationalhomebrewclub and I may ask for advice from time to time.

The beers I mainly brewed are Irish Red Ale, Kölsch, Pils and Dark and Crystal Wheat.
In the moment I am looking for a 5 - 6kg CO2 tank for a reasonable price.

I wish to have good company to all members of the Nationalhomebrewclub.

Welcome Kölsch.. AJ Edge in Bray is probably the best value for CO2. Ring them beforehand to see if they can sort you out with a tank also. Note it's slightly hard to find the first time you go there.
In the west I have got Beer gas (70/30) mix from thebarcompany.ie they might also sell CO2 but I'm not sure
