100cm circumference Läuterhexe. It's basically a stainless steel spring that threads into any 1/2" female fitting (BSP or NPT). Never used.

€25 + Delivery (€10 via An Post or €5 via Parcel Motel)

I also have a 37cm long weldless sight gauge. The tube is ø10 plastic from a broken auto-syphon. I've been using it for a couple of years so it could do with a soak in Oxy!

€15 + Delivery (€10 via An Post, €5 via Parcel Motel or collect from Ballincollig area)

Would the lauterhexe be good for a kettle? I'm thinking of upgrading mine soon.

Garry

In my opinion it would be better in a mash tun than a kettle. I suppose it would depend on how much hops you were using and how long you let the wort settle before drawing it into the FV. Having said that I've never actually used it! It was one of those impulse buys. Have a look here and draw your own conclusions.

You know where I am, you're welcome to call out and have a look. No obligation!

Hi would like to take the lauterhex if it's not spoken for already.

I'll give dcalnan first refusal on it. You're next  :)

I'll pass. It seams it's not the best for the boiler, and just got a mash tun. Thanks anyway Garry, I have to plan my boiler, and might get the sightglass if I organise myself soon.

Garry

No bother. Fungleboy, I'll send you a PM in the morning if you're still interested?

Received with thanks.

It's a pretty basic piece of kit, lets' hope it does the job!
