Mc Doc

A friend of mine is selling 1 Maxi beer cooler. Not new.
200 euro but  he is able to bargain a bit.
Leave your phone number in a PM or leave the price here.

200 is way over the top.

For a single line cooler more like 60 - 80
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Edited.
Good little cooler BUT you need to make sure you insulate the beer lines on the tap side as it will be exposed after going through cooler... Drop over to intros Mcdoc and tell us what you brew
Beer
1 is good, 2 is better, 3 is enough & 4 isn't half enough

Guys please respect the seller, you cannot comment on a sellers price or spoil thread, it's there in the guidelines, I know you are trying to protect members and I flagged this to him by PM earlier today.
I'm sure he will readjust to reflect current market pricing.

LordEoin

The rule's there to protect sellers from malicious spoiling of their sale, but in this case pointing out the 300% valuation protects our members. Maybe now McDoc can show his friend the thread and help set some realistic expectations.

Mc Doc

I tell my friend about your comments.

The last reduce is 150 euro, not less.

If you need it, let me know.

Thanks

It may be in the guidelines, but is it right..?

If this thread simply contained a link to an advert on another site, then the members of the forum would be free to criticise the price of the item. I don't see why everyone should remain schtum just because another forum member has posted the ad?

I think it's more important that members are protected from handing over money for overpriced gear, than protect a minority of posters/members who just use the forum for selling stuff. (I'm speaking generally, not referring specifically to the OP)

It's a tricky one..

7. No thread spoiling, if you know of it cheaper elsewhere then others can find it elsewhere also.

Agreed and in this case is why I pm'd the seller as a courtesy as obviously we want to do the best by our members.
Classic example is kegs where 12 months ago they were 50-70 second hand and now they are 25, but if you bought at 70, 25 is tough :(

Anyways back to this thread for the seller, maybe a discussion needs to be had in the members area?

LordEoin

The wording of rule 7 is being reviewed by moderators now.
It was created to avoid rivalry between sellers in a time when the for sale section was a bit less orderly.
While the core sentiment is good, it's not ideal if it restricts valid concerns that are intended to be helpful.

Lets leave Mr Doc get back to his sale now  :)

Mc Doc

I spoke with my friend, and after your arguments, he can reduce - 100 euro.

If you need it, let me know.
