Delayed bottling

Hi all,

I'm on my second brew using a True Batch Brew kit.  The instructions say to leave the beer fermenting in the demijohn for 15 days before bottling.  Unfortunately due to bad planning that time is up when I'm on a weekend away!  Is it okay to leave the beer brewing a few more days before bottling?  Do I need to feed it or anything to keep it going?  It would be an extra 4 days fermenting.

Thanks guys.

Chillax lad. 3 or even 4 weeks in the primary fermenter won't do the beer any harm. if you're really worried, just stick the demi in the fridge. The cold temperature will stall the yeast.

Home brewers rule: the instructions are wrong.

Thanks Garry!  I thought it would be okay just wanted to check!

It's a terrible idea. It means that you won't be able to drink it until 4 days later!  >:D
Relax and have a beer. the extra time will just let the yeast clean up after itself and drop out.
You could even use that time to dryhop it :)
