It won't affect the flavour, at least I don't think so. It might affect head formation and retention though. But some brewers don't subscribe to that theory.

Just to clarify.. The head the retention is influenced by all the proteins dropping out due to large amounts of finings. It won't make much difference racking off the break now. Might affect clarity a little, but who wants clear beer eh? ;)

Ok forget what HBC say its 40-50% of a tablet no more otherwise you will have "brain" in your fermenter.

Another important point add whirlfloc with only 10 mins to go or at the same point you add your external chiller if that's what you normally use

The only problem this causes is loss of beer.

Is this the blonde ale mash kit from hbc ? I had the exact same happen  when i brewed that one. It finished out really good, no complaints with it at all.
