Guys, I feel a bit guilty not bringing any brewed beer with me. But as I'm Lithuanian, I can bring few bottles of Lithuanian beer to taste for those who never tried it out. Would like to hear opinion from those who really understand what good beer is :)

Dont feel guilty Larry - its no problem whatsoever, the real benefit from these things is to get feedback for your own beer from other people, so you are doing a favor by being there to sample and give opinion.

Im not sure whether the Black Horse would appreciate us bringing in commercial beer though - it might cross a murky line. Paddy Bubbles would have to call it, but since this is the first time we've gone there for tasting its probably best to leave it.

Larry, just bring yourself along. We have a sort of un-written rule that when a pub allows us to meet there,we only bring along homebrew for tastings and then go buy some beer from the good looking wan behind the bar. :)

Might raise some eyebrows alright, best to play it safe this time and restrict it to homebrew.

Larry, as the lads have said, just bring yourself and a sharp pair of tastebuds. The Dark Horse might even sell some tasty Lithuanian beer in which case you can order a round of beers for the table...  ;) :D

Bubbles

Chaps, I'll have 100 BJCP scoresheets with me for anyone that wants to hone their formal tasting skills.

Would be helpful if you brought a pen with you - though I'll have a few spares with me.

David

Can't make it tonight have an IT exam tomorrow thought it was next week. I'll try get down for half an hour just to meet everyone. Can't risk a hang over.
If I don't get down I hope it's an enjoyable night for everyone.

Well done Conor! I really enjoyed it! Some great beers on the night!

I must say its a nice location as well, fairly convenient for the dart and all!

Hope to see ye all soon! And a few of you next Tuesday in wj kavanaghs!

Shane Phelan

Had a great night, cant wait to do it again despite the fact that the Dart security staff aren't partial to their customers drinking craft beer.  ::)

As was discussed tonight, what is the new name of the club?

Thanks for organising Paddy, err sorry Conor, Godfrey and Tristan are very much alive in SCD, I counted 17 bodies.
Cracking beers especially Rossas American Stout.
Great to see newbies like Larry as well  :)

Bubbles

Aww shucks, thanks guys. Great night and great to put names to some faces at long last. Onwards and upwards for the South Dublin Tristans. Full report in the morning, promise!

Larry

Thank you guys for having me there. I really enjoyed tasting it. I've realized that right now I know nothing about the beer  :o ;D
Biggest impression was left by Andrew's Saison, I've never tasted anything like this. But my favorite was Conor's English Mild. And Damien's Coconut Stout was lovely too.
Great night, nice people!
I'm happy as Larry  ;D ;D
