If this route for a barrel doesn't work out what are our other options?

RIS, foreign extra stout, brown ale, imperial red,big porter, Boltic porter, weizenbock, old ale, English barley wine. Anything big really.

It might be difficult to keep lager temps. Would love a cask aged baltic porter but because of that will say yes to another RIS

Stout first then sour when barrel becomes sour all by itself (Just like NCB Cask #1)

So after tonights meeting we agreed:

We will buy the cask through Dempsey with James transfering the club funds required (approx €100)

We we will then collect the individual moneys from the above names as and when and refund the kitty.

Simon will lead on this (with James and Brian)

The man has 120 Liter whiskey barrels and 225 Liter wine barrels. Imark and I are going to inspect them tomorrow.

Just my opinion (and depends on price) but I'd prefer the whiskey rather than the wine, even if we have to buy two. I've not met a beer condition in a wine barrel that was better than a whiskey one 😊

The Whisky barrels are Laphrohaig (V. Nice single malts) with bungs.

Yes they are only 120 litres but that may be a good thing. 6 people should be able to fill one.

Also if we buy two some of us will double up.

Also: If we don't get enough people to pay for 2 barrels (90+vat) I would suggest the NCB kitty pays the difference and then can rent out the barrel fills to those who didn'y buy.

Or You can buy 2 shares!

There are lots but we would all like toi get this moving.
