Hi, just started my first batch of home brew today. Fingers crossed! I'm from Celbridge in Kildare, been thinking about trying home brewing for a while now and got a kit for Christmas. Thought I'd join so I could find out where it all went wrong!   
I'll let you know how it goes as long as I haven't poisoned myself.

Thanks Tom, I got the home brew starter kit with blew belt from homebrew.ie with a Coopers bitter beer kit.

If you want to meet a group that are "very educated and knowledgeable" and CAN brew beers and have gold medals to prove it then get yourself over to the Dark North Side, to the North County Brewers*
