The line between micro and macro becomes blurrier...ultimately making it harder for the micros to stay afloat....

Two sides to that: Micros need to make match the quality of the macros (in terms of flawless beers - probably best if they taste better), and customers can support local. It's not good enough to just be a micro any more.

These guys, though! they must've had good craic drawing up that letter!

True but it's the price where the macros have the big advantage. They can reduce the price of their new craft acquisitions and affectively price the micros out of the competition.
