Dismantle Guinness handle

Does anyone know if these Guinness handles can be taken apart (see pic) and the brass plaque part be removed?

For some reason it's facing towards the pourer not away and this means that you have to push away for full flow. I have removed the handle from the tap and turned it the opposite way but the way I have my tap mounted the brass plate hits the wall if you try and push the tap away from you.

If all else fails I can easily cut it, but I thought I'd ask just in case there's a trick I'm missing

I don't have direct experience of THIS tap, just similar taps. Your tap is two different metals and a resin, so will definitely come apart. Should unscrew. It could have threadlock on it, so it will be hard but not impossible.

Try moleclamps, but be sure to protect the handle. Don't overtighten, or it will leave teethmarks in the handle.

When it comes off you'll probably have to shorten the threaded bar that's inside. Hacksaw job. The brass badge won't be threaded, it should just lift off.

Cheers, There is a little give on the handle but not a huge amount. I'll give that a go later on when I'm hone

De nah!!

Guinness logo got a little buckled but I was going to remove that anyway.

Thanks for the advise, it took a fair bit of force to break what I assume was the thread lock. But then the handle unscrewed easily
