I bought new fast ferment conical it's great piece kit lots reasons but it says you don't need to take valve at bottom apart to clean for long time but knowing that you DO have to clean / sanitize everything I still did not untill my Irish red tasted bad so narrowed it to valve as when I took it apart load craps in behind ball valve. I have big bin of starsan and let's fermeters sit in it before transfer wort but again you can sanitize dirt. Just heads up. I also tried replacing plastic ball valve with stainless one whe I bought it but those plastic threads on conical do not like metal threads and distort the plastic.

I have the FF as well and never have and trouble cleaning . I also leave the lot siting in sterilizer for a while opening and closing the valve even now and again.  My only trouble is getting a proper seal on the lid.

Same issue myself with lid but not a big problem.
I was surprised how much yeast debris was in valve when I took it apart.
