Hi all, started homebrewing a few months ago. Recently moved from a tiny one bed in Ranelagh to Enniskerry so finally have a bit of space for all grain. Got a bit ahead of myself and bought 3 cornies, a CTX25 chiller and a couple of taps (Johnnycheech deciding to upgrade came in pretty handy there  :P). Had a raspberry pi going unused so made a brewpi and got a brewbelt to go with it. It's been amazing so far, lets me set the fermentation and let it do its thing without worrying about temps.

Started out with two extract batches and wasn't mad on them so decided to make the leap to BIAB. First BIAB brew was a Berliner weisse, the white labs Lacto Delbruckei wasn't doing anything after 24 hours, turned out I may have pitched around 70c by mistake so I threw in some pilsner malt, clingfilmed the top of the wort and hoped for the best...it turned out great! The brewpi really helped here keeping the temp right on 49 degrees.

Looking ahead I've told far too many people I may have some homebrew on tap at my wedding early next month. So there'll be some feverish brewing afoot over the next couple of weeks. Going to start on a Dr smurto's Golden ale recipe this weekend and pray I manage to figure out the kegging/chiller/line lengths between now and next month.

All in all I've been really enjoying it so far, hoping to come to a meet up when I'm free in July. Here's a fancy pic of my (not yet fully carbed) Berliner weisse from the other day, cheers.

Bienvenue
Meets once a month in Bray 14th I think is next one Pob will confirm
On the wedding front congrats,
in my experience check with your venue on corkage and brew well stuff that joe soap would like to drink so no wood aged sherry infused chocolate stouts just a G.  clone or pale ales, have one special one to show off your capability
Serve out of Corneys if you can as well
Ask loads of questions
Looking forward to meeting ya

Welcome to the club. You have dropped dead lucky with the Wikla lads - they are nearly as good as us North County Brewers.
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Give a man a beer, waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, and waste a lifetime!

Lovely view of the sugar loaf.
