Here is my first brew day video...we brewed an American lager (hbc) and an oatmeal stout...was a great day...tough enough to get 2 done in 1 day but delighted with the outcome

Out of interest did you use the same water for both or did you use treated water?

john.morris22

Used ashbreck water from tesco for the lager and filtered tap water for the oatmeal stout

Your text on the video knows something and is intuitive. You said "the Lager is for my wife" and the text said "for my life". :D

Love seeing how others brew
On mash efficiency 65-70% is pretty low most should be 70-75 Herms GF BM Recircs up to 85-90
Look at increasing your water ratio up to 3:1 and or a way to keep that deadspace insulated to avoid temperature drop, nice "cans" btw

Just looking at that hotbreak made me nervous.

No lie, I was coming out in a cold sweat watching it!

The suspense was killing me, edge of your seat stuff, will it boil over or not. Great vid, really enjoyed it

Leann ull

it is good in fairness whats the story with the woody woodpecker grainmill was it running very fast or something?

darren996

Yeah a great vid, hope to see more of these from brewers in the future
