Just stuck an impromptu effort in the FV. Only had 002 or MG Liberty Bell on hand for it so after some research decided I'd go with the Liberty Bell and see what happens.

Better if the 2 but not the best;)

Did you try it? I couldn't find anything online from people who'd used it. Read conflicting reports of what the liquid equivalent was. Some said wlp051 but some said Thames Valley.

Anyway 35% wheat malt and 15% quick oats and no stuck sparge, thats enough of a win.  ;D

Tried the cloudwater dipa v11 and vic secret wai-iti ipa last night. Wasn't mad on the v11 at all. I made an neipa a few months ago and thought I'd messed up somewhere but it tasted very similar to the v11 so maybe I just don't like the style. The tongue coating chalkiness and thick frothy mouthfeel wasn't for me at all. The vic secret was nicer but I was hoping for a sharper fruitiness from the hops, once again the flavour was duller and thicker than I was expecting. Suppose I'll have to try a few more n see

Think it's called Um Bongo

Having a couple of variations on the theme now. Had Since I've Been Loving You from Whiplash, didn't even finish it. It was just bitter with very little hop flavour. Magic Rock Inhaler "juicy pale ale" now. Decent, loads of grapefruit but nothing you couldn't get without the haze. Now cans off the shelf are never the best way to taste these kind of beers but if you're gonna sell them that way you have to be judged that way. Hope mine comes out better than these. Still not had one yet that makes me think you can't get as good hop flavour from a clearer IPA with a clean yeast.

Heady Topper is sold in cans and it's how most people taste it  8)

Afaik Since I've Been Loving you is a DIPA. The best example of the style that I've had was Cloudwater V6. It was a fruit bomb with the abv completely disguised. Galway Bay's I Love NE wasn't bad.

SIBLY is a double NEIPA according to themselves.

I'd a can of Lupoloid from Beavertown too which while it calls itself an IPA is certainly headed into NEIPA territory, soft, hoppy, not too bitter, very minerally.

BigDanny84

My mistake Qs, far too bitter for a NEIPA imo.

Galway Bays NEIPA was nice but probably a bit too bitter and  not cloudy enough to be bang on.
