To make usefull flexi tap conector You have to cut 1 one end (male).take the needle and make a small hole at the other end so that they cram in a rubber tube that is in the middle of braids. You have to do around the braid. Then take pliers and begin to pull the rubber hose at the cut end. Then fold and squeeze the cut end.
this 10 - 15 min job. On the end should be looks like that :

Then you need cheapest 1/2 inch ball valve you buy at B & Q Woddies or homebase cost arround 4 - 5 eur.

Plumber's Tape to protect against leakage cost 0,5 - 1 eur

May you need 1/2" NPT to 3/8" Barbed - Stainless http://www.mybeerandwine.ie/accessories/69-12-npt-to-38-barbed-stainless.html to connect silicone tube but this is optional.

and all put together


total cost it will be arround 45 eur.
