Hello all, NI based brewer of nearly 4 years.  Longtime poster on some of the UK forums (JBK, Craft Brewers) just registered here.

Currently running a 4 tap/6 keg Corny Kegerator setup and trying to justify one of these fancy one pot systems.

Hingo

It's never one pot though.. From what I see

Welcome!

'Allegedly???' You love us, CH  :P

Hi Dave,

Welcome aboard.

Us Belfast-based brewers have a semi-regular meet in Brewbot Ormeau Road, if you want to come along. Next one's hopefully some time early Feb, once people are finished with their 'Dry January' commitment  :P

Few of us either currently running, or getting set up with Keggerator setups here as well.

Cheers,

-Barry

I'm based in Lisburn.  Precious little chance of me getting to the meet up (very young kid at home - hence the desire for a less hands-on brewday) as I haven't even had the chance to make it to BrewBot in any form yet.  I'll bear it in mind though.

Welcome aboard Dave! Based in Derry myself, being meaning to get a run down to Hilden for ages. Much going on in the Lisburn beer scene otherwise?

DaveG

Not much.  I live very close to Hilden but was not impressed last time I was in.  I sent back a pint of Scullions that had a serious acetaldehyde taste in it only to be told it was fine as they had been serving it all day.  That combined with several negative experiences of their beer on cask in the Hillside in Hillsborough means I've written them off.

You'd be better hitting the White Horse in Saintfield - Whitewater own it and they have Belfast Ale & Copperhead on cask, Maggies Leap on cask and keg and Belfast Black presumably on nitro.

irish_goat

Ah that sounds poor. We get Hilden on cask in spoons and normally Twisted Hop is fantastic, far better than the bottled version.
