Calibrating and storing your ph meter

Got out my shiny new ph meter when brewing over the weekend only to find out I needed distilled water to calibrate it. Also I had no storage solution, only buffer powder.

Does anyone have any advice on where to pick this up? I think Halfords do distilled water for engines which I imagine would work. Though I do remember it smelling weirdly like pot pourri...

Have a read through original thread or you tube you can make it easy enough

Cheers John, just ordered some storage solution from grow shop. I see you mentioned using distilled water, do you buy it or make it by collecting stream from boiling water. I see you can do it with a pot and some ice

I bought storage cleaning and buffet in one of the links from grow shop, price was ok vs other places that shall remain nameless

I've got some cheapo sachets so rather than order the liquid ph buffer I think I'll mix it with some homemade distilled water, cheers

If you're looking for distilled water, check Halfords. They have 5L drums for battery top ups.

Yeah may just buy some of that to be honest, did you get a weird smell off it? Suppose that doesn't really matter if you're just using it for calibration
