Smithwicks Summer Ale Comp - Call for Judges + Stewards

As part of our partnership with Smithwicks, Thomas has arranged for us to provide judges for the finals of Diageo's Homebrew Challenge.

We'll be sampling, "a session ale made with any fruit or combination of fruits. A pint you could enjoy with friends that would quench your thirst on a warm summers evening while the BBQ is on the go or in a beer garden. It will be an ale for everyone to enjoy."

Who? 8 judges + 3 stewards
What? 2017 Competition details T&Cs
When? Wednesday May 17th; registration 6pm, judging 6:30
Where? Open Gate Brewery
How? This is not a BJCP competition. Judges will do scoresheets for feedback to the brewers, but it is a beauty contest, not about stylistic accuracy. 

Competition judging experience required.
Please do not put your name down if you've beer entered.
We'll take a couple of extras on the list in case of dropouts.
Indicate if you are available to both judge and/or steward.

I can help but I have an entry in, similar to the nationals or that, can you not just ensure I don't judge at the table that's judging my beer? Otherwise no worries

That would require a lot of extra work / dp from the organisers, The NHC do this but I doubt they will!

Why not be a steward? Still get to taste beer but don't have to fill out scoresheets!!

Well same logic should apply if I steward, that I don't work on the table with my entry so..

Ah just I was asked to judge by an organiser before this thread, and when I said  I had an entry in and was told they will ensure I'm not at that table or cant judge the final..  but not sure now . If it's more hassle, I'll leave it.
