100 Litre all stainless steel single skin fermentation vessels for sale, 12 in total.

I started out as a home brewer and I had used these to move gradually into to being a (small scale) commercial brewery. I then moved to a 4 barrel brewery shortly after, so these had light use only, and all are in great condition.

All have a DIY Bulkhead and scavenger tube (made with stainless bsp fittings and a silicone o-ring), and a 3 piece ball valve, with a male cam lock fitting. Also, there is a cone seat union included between the tap and bulkhead to remove valve/tap for cleaning without removing bulkhead from the tank (and also to be able the rotate the valve handle to be upwards).

Scavenger tube in tank is adjustable height to keep dead space to a minimum, and I usually adjusted them depending on whether the tank is being used for primary fermentation / secondary fermentation / bottling. Spare bulkhead / valve assemblies are also available (I used kept spares to have clean ones ready for use).

Also available is 9 metre 80 Watt heater cable for each, installed on a trivet beneath the tank, and insulation jackets with straps to secure them if needed. I disassembled the externally mounted cooling coils to use the fittings elsewhere, so these are not available.

Lid clips are included to keep a tight seal, and a silicone gasket that goes right around the tank, allowing it to be further secured if desired.

These are great fermenters, and I am only selling as I have scaled up, and I only do occasional small batches on the 100L pilot brewery now, so I have no need for all these FVs.

Based in Northern Ireland (Fermanagh). I have not priced postage yet, but they are 51cm tall (with lid placed on upside down) x 53cm wide x 53cm deep. Width is 59.5cm where handles are. Total weight of tank and bulkhead is 6 kg.

Was hoping to get £65 for a tank and lid, and bulkhead/scavenger/valve/camlock, or £125 for tank with everything (bulkhead with scavenger, valve, cam lock, lid, trivet with 80 Watt 9 metre heat cable, lid clips, three jackets (one is foil), strap to hold jackets, lid o-ring, spare bulkhead o-ring).

I might take a couple of those if you can get me a shipping price to Cork! :)

Hi,

I checked and it will cost me about £60 to post each tank from here, or about £20 if I drive across the border to Cavan and post them from there.

I think they may be all sold now though. I have 6 left but various people have them on hold or are waiting to get back from holiday, or are trying to decide etc. Let me know if you are interested and if any of the other sales fall through I will get in touch (i'll probably know in the next few days).

Regards

George

All tanks now sold - thanks all. I still have spare bulkheads if anyone is interested, and I now have my copper HERMS coil available for sale:

3 metres of 15mm copper pipe. I used this for a while before making a RIMS setup instead.

200mm height (distance between centre of outlets / distance between holes in tank wall, with some flexibility due to silicone tubing and some movement in the copper coil itself), 120mm minimum distance between outlets if compressed, 300mm maximum distance if stretched.

Works best when height is stretched out slightly to about 250mm, as this ensures a downhill slope for entire coil, so all wort drains out by gravity (easy cleaning as nothing sits in the coil between uses).

Coil narrows at the bottom to allow space for kettle elements to either side of coil (both the elements and the coil are best mounted as low as possible). Best mounted as low in pot as possible, so that it still works when pot is only half full (ie. during sparge).

350mm coil width at largest point, 510mm longest measurement (from tip of fittings to far side of coil). Made to fit inside one of these 100L pots (ie., your HLT), and fill a large area of it to maximise heat transfer.

Silicone tubing used to connect copper pipe to stainless hose tail, and all stainless jubilee clips (for corrosion resistance) to secure the tubing. Fittings are 1/2" BSP, so 2 x 20mm holes in the tank wall are needed, and you would need two x 1/2" BSP full sockets to connect on the outside of the tank wall, and provide a thread to attach your hoses/pipes on the outside of the tank.

I will add these sockets to the listing in a week or so if this has not sold by then, or buyer can leave it with me until I have the sockets and I will dispatch all together. I am placing an order for BSP fittings soon, but they are easy to find if anyone wants to buy it without the sockets.

Silicone O-rings provided for seal ('BS314' imperial size silicone (ID18.42mm, Cross section 5.33mm)). PTFE / teflon tape is also required on the thread for good seal, but this is not included in the sale.

£50 + £10 postage.
