hi guys my name is deone and me and few friends are planning to try out brewing but not sure of what we need to start tried researching online but so much equipment and ingredients their we are not sure of what we need to start off we are college students so dont habe much money so want to do this cheap as possible if anybody has any reccomendations or hints on what we need to start greatly appreciated

Check out some of the Irish online Homebrew shops and look at their starter kits

Best plan in the beginning is to familiarize yourselves with sanitation and the equipment. You can dive as deep into it as you wish but most of us would advise getting a starter beer kit instead of jumping straight into all grain or even partial extract.

Something like one of these;

Do not be afraid to ask any questions, even if they are small. I have yet to come across a homebrewer thats not helpful. In fact most of this sorry lot would bend over backwards to help out

Most of the equipment is not essential to the whole process.

If you go with pre-hopped extract ingredient kits, you dispense with the mash, boil and chill process, and all the kit which they require.

You are also losing a lot of control over recipes etc.

The key skills to learn at this stage are sanitation and fermentation basics like yeast health, checking progress, and packaging
